  2. Prepare the green beans by thawing frozen beans or blanching fresh ones in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce until smooth.
  4. Fold in the prepared green beans, 2/3 of the fried onions, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 9x9-inch baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. After baking, stir the casserole and sprinkle the remaining 1/3 of the fried onions on top. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
