  • 150 g Biscuit of Choice Digestive biscuits or Graham crackers, vegan options available
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder Ensure it's unsweetened
  • 2 tbsp Butter Substitute with vegan butter for plant-based option
  • 1 tbsp Sugar Granulated white or brown sugar
For the Cream Cheese Filling
  • 750 g Cream Cheese Vegan cream cheese can be substituted
  • 150 g Icing Sugar Consider using powdered coconut sugar
  • 300 g Chocolate Use half milk and half dark chocolate
  • 2 tsp Orange Extract Fresh orange zest can also be used
For Decoration
  • 2 Oranges Optional fresh garnish

Method
 

Base Preparation
  1. Gather your equipment including a food processor and baking tin. Pulse the biscuits into fine crumbs, then mix with cocoa powder and sugar. Melt butter and combine until well-mixed.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of the baking tin using a flat object. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
Filling Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine cream cheese and icing sugar. Beat until smooth. Melt chocolate, then mix in with orange extract.
  2. Pour the filling over the biscuit base, smoothing the top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Decoration and Serving
  1. Once set, release the cheesecake from the tin. Top with fresh orange slices before serving.
