  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce
  • 2 tbsp salted butter (for sauce)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon cube or granules Homemade chicken stock can be used.

  • 1 cup milk Can substitute with plant-based milk.
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken breast, cream cheese, dried chives, and dried minced onion. Stir until well combined and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Unroll the Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough and press two triangles together to form a rectangle, repeating until eight rectangles are formed.
  4. Spoon approximately 3 tablespoons of chicken filling into each dough rectangle and fold corners over to seal tightly.
  5. Dip each filled pillow in melted butter and coat with panko breadcrumbs before placing on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, and cook until bubbly. Gradually whisk in milk and bouillon until the mixture thickens.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted; adjust seasoning and serve over baked Chicken Pillows.
  9. Remove baked Chicken Pillows from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with creamy sauce.
