Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of your crock pot.
  2. Layer the chopped onions and minced garlic over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes over the top.
  4. Pour crushed tomatoes over the chicken and seasonings.
  5. Add chicken broth to the crock pot, ensuring the chicken is fully submerged.
  6. Cover the crock pot and set it on low heat for 6 hours.
  7. After 6 hours, remove the chicken and shred it into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream for a rich finish.
  9. Gradually add freshly grated Parmesan cheese while stirring.
  10. Cook uncovered on low heat for an additional 20-30 minutes.
  11. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
