Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 1 box Spaghetti Cook until al dente
For the Meat Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with turkey or sausage
  • 1 Onion Sweet onion preferred
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh cloves preferred
  • 24 oz Tomato Sauce Select quality brand
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning Can swap with dried basil and oregano
  • to taste Salt & Black Pepper Adjust to taste
For the Creamy Layer
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened for smooth blending
  • 1 cup Sour Cream Plain Greek yogurt can be used instead
For the Topping
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese Sharp cheddar recommended

Method
 

Steps
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook spaghetti until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef and onion until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Add garlic, then tomato sauce and seasoning. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked spaghetti with cream cheese and sour cream until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti mixture, half of the meat sauce, and cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
