Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9-inch deep pie dish.
  2. Roll out the buttery pie crust and fit it into the greased pie dish, pricking the surface with a fork.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the lean ground beef and Italian sausage until browned, then drain excess grease and add sautéed onion and garlic.
  4. Mix in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning, allowing flavors to meld.
  5. Layer pizza sauce, half of the meat mixture, pepperoni, and cheese in the pie crust.
  6. Repeat layering process and finish with a final sprinkle of cheese on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly, and crust is golden brown.
  8. Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
