Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Spread dried bread cubes on a baking sheet and toast for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- After sausage is browned, add diced onion and sauté for another 5-7 minutes until translucent.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage mixture, bread cubes, parsley, thyme, salt, pepper, chicken broth, and melted butter. Toss until evenly moistened.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour stuffing mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- Let sit for a few minutes before serving warm.
