Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven's broiler to high. Melts 1 tablespoon of butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5 minutes until golden brown, flip and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from skillet.
  2. Pour 1 cup of chicken broth into the skillet with browned bits. Simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
  3. Steam the frozen broccoli according to package instructions, about 4-5 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the cream cheese and heavy whipping cream. Whisk for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
  6. Add ½ cup of Parmesan cheese and ½ cup of pepper jack cheese, continuing to whisk until melted and incorporated.
  7. Return the sautéed chicken and steamed broccoli to the skillet, toss to coat in the Alfredo sauce, then top with ½ cup of shredded mozzarella.
  8. Broil in the oven for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
