  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Spatula

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by peeling and dicing your fresh peaches, or if using canned or frozen, drain and thaw them. Toss the chopped peaches with sugar in a bowl and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and baking soda until well combined.
  3. Next, add the milk and slightly beaten egg to the dry mixture. Gently fold them together until just combined.
  4. Melt the sweet cream salted butter in a microwave-safe bowl or a small saucepan. Once melted, pour it into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  5. Gently pour the cobbler batter over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter, allowing any juices to drizzle on top.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), then place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 60 minutes, or until golden brown.
