  • 3 tbsp Water For the cornflour mixture.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauces, oyster sauce, cooking wine, sugar, and white pepper until fully combined.
  2. In another bowl, combine cornflour with water, whisking until smooth.
  3. Bring a pot of water to a boil and prepare the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, usually about 2-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  4. Heat canola oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. Add ground beef to the pan, cooking for around 5-7 minutes until browned.
  6. Add the white parts of chopped green onions and 1.5 tbsp of the sauce mixture, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in the beaten egg into the beef mixture, scrambling gently for about 1-2 minutes.
  8. Fold in the carrot batons and finely sliced green cabbage, stir-frying for 1 minute.
  9. Add bean sprouts, cooked noodles, and remaining sauce into the pan, tossing everything together for 2-3 minutes on high heat.
  10. Toss in the green parts of the chopped green onions and serve immediately.
