Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by greasing your crockpot insert with nonstick spray or a generous pat of butter to prevent sticking.
- Evenly spread half of the frozen tater tots across the bottom of the greased crockpot.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ranch seasoning, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and half of the crumbled bacon. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Add the boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the creamy mixture, stirring gently to fully coat each piece. Spread the chicken mixture over the layer of tater tots.
- Top the chicken mixture with the remaining tater tots and sprinkle the rest of the shredded cheddar cheese over this layer.
- Cover your crockpot and set it to cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or HIGH for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Once finished cooking, remove the chicken pieces and shred them using two forks. Mix the shredded chicken back into the casserole.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumbled bacon and chopped green onions on top before serving.

Notes
Use fresh or thawed chicken for even cooking, and layer tater tots carefully to avoid sogginess. Assemble ahead and refrigerate for easy meal prep.
