  • 1 cup cooked cranberries or dried cranberries/raisins
  • 1 tablespoon sage or thyme as an alternative
  • 1 medium onion or leeks/shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic or garlic powder to taste
For Binding and Flavor
  • 1 cup vegetable broth or chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons butter or olive oil for dairy-free
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, cooked cranberries, chopped sage, diced onion, and minced garlic and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable broth and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients bowl and stir until moist.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste and stir again.
  6. Form the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
