Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 lb Ground Chicken can substitute with ground turkey, lamb, or tofu for vegetarian
  • 1 cup Chopped Cabbage can swap with kale or spinach
  • 4 stalks Green Onions replace with chives if necessary
  • 1 tbsp Minced Ginger or use ginger paste
  • 3 cloves Garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 cup Mushrooms or diced bell peppers
For Cooking
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda optional
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil or olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar or lime/lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce or soy sauce for vegetarian
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
For Assembly
  • 12 sheets Wonton Wrappers or lasagna sheets

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped cabbage, green onions, ginger, garlic, and mushrooms. Mix well until sticky.
  2. Preheat ramekins in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add a spoonful of the filling to the bottom of each ramekin, then layer wonton wrappers and more filling, alternating until close to the top.
  4. Pour ⅓ cup water into each ramekin and cover with two wonton wrappers, tucking edges in.
  5. Steam the ramekins in a Dutch oven with water halfway up the sides for about 20 minutes.
  6. Drizzle with chili oil and garnish with green onions before serving warm.
